Thought I’d share this as I am really pleased with them.

Bought some carbon key blades so my keys matched the GTS carbon interior...

Here’s where I got them: https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/131849523453

I’m thinking of getting painted (graphite blue) for my spare set.

I’m not a fan of interior carbon fibre personally, I can imagine it ties in quite nicely which the trim, though. Mr JWW did something similar with his GT3, painted the key yellow to match the stitching and trim accents in a Miami blue car. Works quite nicely IMO. At 9.00 onwards in this video. https://youtu.be/nmdDu6vaZ9Y

I’d quite like to change my key to crayon and the fob to graphite blue now, which would tie in with the two tone interior and the exterior paintwork. I nearly bought a graphite blue fob when I was at PEC last week, wish I had now.

If you do get a painted key I strongly recommend you have a case / cover for it - the finish easily chips, probably why if you order it with a car it only comes now with a leather case.

Are the non-oem key covers painted? How easy are they to fit? Would hate to make an arse of it!

(1) Painted keys will chip, and badly, even in they are in a protected case like my unused OEM key below. The key I actually use is now chipped to hell. My Dealer had recommened not to do it in advance to be fair.

(2) There are various covers available on Amazon at a variety of prices. I have seen some of them are they are quite good. Solid plastic rather than painted.

(3) Fitting them is easy but Porsche recommends you only do that change once as it may cause damage to the key if you do it more often

The carbon ones I got seem like a solid plastic, so hopefully won’t chip too easy.

To fit them I just followed a YouTube guide; it’s dead simple: https://youtu.be/o4PUGlw5gkA
