Chap gets his motorised shed up to 101mph on Pendine Sands and claims new speed record.

400bhp RS4 motor. No surprise it needs that much power to get up to only a ton. It must be about as aerodynamic as a garden shed...

I had to re-read a few times the bit where it says he’s done 20,000 miles in it in the last 2 years to make sure I had that right. Can’t get my head around that!

IIRC this used to have a Passat 2.8 V6 (unsurprisingly as it is a Passat B5 underneath) so presumably when that blew up he saw an opportunity for an upgrade!

According to its MOT history (which has it down as Brown and make/model "FASTEST SHED") it did about 6800 miles from August 2016 to August 2017. So yeah, looks like that's probably not a typo, and is seriously impressive!

So it looks like it has cost him at least £13,000?

That's not proper shedding - that's cheating!

Also, with that engine and those aerodynamics id love to see the mpg figures - especially at 100mph!

I could be wrong, but I suspect he didn't build it for fuel efficiency purposes...

But yes, it's going to be rather thirsty!

We met this guy at a petrol station in near Banbury last year, and the quality of the shed is amazing. He had the back door open to fill it with petrol and even the back has a floor etc, literally no car on display except in the cabin part.

The owner was just on his way to santa pod, he was hoping to run the shed up the strip, but had a misfire on one cylinder, he told me that he had an RS4 engine waiting to be fitted then.

Really nice guy, and a great shed. He was happy to spend 15 minutes telling me and my 8 year old son all about the shed.
