Ive just returned to Scotland from a trip down south and noticed that the Traffic Police(Revenue collectors) on the M6 at Cumbria are now using a Silver new model Range Rover as an unmarked vehicle..

And it got me thinking why do the police need to have a fifty grand motor with leather interior/metalic paint/ walnut dash etc...

Is this what our taxes are being used for to provide THEM with comfortable motors while they seek to extractas much revenue as possible from a fed up motorist.

If they had used Rovers then the company might just be in business and its not as though theres a shortage there's a runway full of them in the Midlands..

But they'd be for ever breaking down! Anyway, I doubt the police services vehicle requirements could have sustained Rover in business.

1) Because its the ideal vehicle for:
a) driving on the motorway, up embankments, and across fields in pursuit;
b) towing up to HGVs forwards, backwards and sideways (and when they're on their sides too;
c) butting other vehicles to persuade them to stop.

2) They probably didn't specify the trim or colour scheme and just got one that they'd be prepared to drive BLiar about in during his electioneering.

3) Did you see it in a services or on the motorway? If the latter ... what were you doing not concentrating on your speedometer?

The Landrover Experience also use silver cars, another good reason why you should never buy a silver one secondhand.
