Looking to do a Scumball/Crumball type event and looking at what car to go for. The obvious choices are reasonably dull, cars such as Corollas, Civics and the like. An IS200 appeals too, but am I missing anything that'll be be flash, cheap AND reliable?

Limit is £500, after which I'll service, replace tyres and possibly fit a modern stereo. We'll be 4 up so too small is a bad thing. Ideas?

Not mega flash, and undoubtedly unreliable, bit a V6 Omega has a funny sort of barge-y appeal...

Both the Jag and the BMW are bargains for this sort of thing surely ?

I like the way they have photoshopped some accident damage on the rear of the Jags bumper so it didn't look like it was too much of a bargain !!

What about an MG ZT, a bit obscure, flash(ish)....maybe. This one doesn't have a k series engine so should be Ok

This

If you can find one.

Eats up the miles. The petrol turbo was surprisingly brisk too.
