Does anyone here use Degiro's low cost trading platform?
I'd like to dabble in individual equities and the prices look a little too good to be true.
From reading up it appears it's best to get a "Custody" account as with the standard account they can lend your shares (god only knows how this works in practise, it's just something I read).

They're not bad if you're getting started and learning your way around the markets. The fees are incredibly low, that is a good point.
Customer service is okay.
Payments go in and out easily in 3-4 days (I did mine through the bank since it's better)
The platform is good but nothing hugely amazing.
If you want to leverage your funds or short, you need to upgrade your account with a quick signature.
Overall, I would say learn for a few years and when your funds have (hopefully) increased, move on to something else.

I did look at the Sofort payment option but that involves logging into the Sofort system using your own banks login details - which is utterly f
king nuts IMO

Just go through your bank. I believe your £10 should get to your account quickly.
With bigger amounts, they will take a little longer. Even longer when transferring back to your bank.
I was taking out a big amount at once and they took 9 days. But it did arrive, no problems.
Thanks, sent an initial tenner just to be sure it arrived and it did so dumped some more in.
That Sofort thing has really got me wondering. Banks spend so much time telling people "Do not give anyone your password" so I literally can't understand how the hell a system like that can be allowed.

As I said, stick to your bank and stay safe.
Happy trading!
