996.1 c4 rear tyre options

Morning,

Towards the end of summer will be due new tyres, currently oe size Michelin.

I will be honest I would like the look of a wider rear tyre, I'm on the std c4 alloys can I go a bit wider with the appropriate drop in side wall ? If so will that change the fronts?

Are you running 18x10 wheels? - What size rear do you currently have 265 or 285?

285 is optimal for a 10" wheel, however some run a 295, I have no personal experience on 295 so can not comment, but 285 works.

If your currently running 265x35x18 and want to goto 285 to give yourself more tyre options you will need to go 285x30x18.

As crash bang says, your options are 256/35/18 or 285/30/18 on the rear (same RR)... either way has no effect on the fronts.

Can highly recommend PS4's.

Agreed but just to be clear If you go wider, then you need to reduce the sidewall number rating, in order to keep the same physical sidewall height
