Hello, Is there any one in Northants area with a DCT M3 who would mind me compering my M3 to there's, I some times think mines a a bit to clunky around diff area so would like to compere mine to another M3, Mine has done 40.000 miles, I have taken it to a dealer and a independent who both say is fine with no issue's but I would love to compere it to as similar car to put my thoughts to bed, Happy to drive over to any one and don't need to drive your car just go for a run with you and happy to take any one out in mine in return if they have any issue's , Many thanks Tim

I am not far from you but I am not sure how helpful mine would be as a comparison since I have the GTS DCT software? Is it a low speed turning thing or a gear change noise.

Hi mate, Mine has the GTS soft were so would be great to compere, I just want to put my mind at rest really it' just seems general clunky at rear diff area, Would be great if I could pop over, Many thanks Tim

I am away at the moment but should be able I do it at the weekend, you want to meet in the middle round Buckingham? If we meet at Bucks garden centre off tingewick road that will put us near the A421 dual carriage way which should be a good spot to test.

Mine does this. As in I think it's clunky round the diff. Also dct and gts. Bizzaire cars people just seem to call every noise that happens an "m clunk" when you look for answers. Do me a favour and post up your thoughts when you've been in another?

MikeGoodwin I will post my results on what I find on my car as like you I have researched loads and never seem to get a prober answer to the clunky rear noise issue lots of people talk about it (the M clunk) and lots of people seem to have it and lots don't have it, I think it could be down to what different people except as normal noise,

Just to let people watching this thread know, The slight noises I was worried about were the same on both cars so the M3 clunk (as its known) which I thought I had is pretty much the norm on these cars, I just think these cars are a little noisy at low speeds,
