Ive been trying to sell a sofa and few other bits on ebay and some moron keeps setting up fake accounts and winning. Ive set the buyer profile so they have to have a paypal and credit card on file but that hasnt seemed to stop them. What else can i do. fkers.

Can you not limit bidders accounts by amount or quality of feedback?

If they set up a new account specifically to do this - presumably they'd have no feedback yet.

Set it so they must have at least 10 positive feedback?

You can set up your listing so that they only accept members with a certain minimum feedback score. I think you can also set up to only accept bids from members that have been registered a certain period of time.

Have any of the posters above actually tried to set this up? I think you'll find it's no longer possible - you can only block someone who actually has a negative feedback score! They can even have up to 2 non-paid & 4 policy breaches & you still can't block them.

Theres a problem on eBay at the moment with auctions. Some group or individual are winning as many as they can and not paying. They have false contact info or no contact info at all registered and eBay couldn't be arsed resolving this issue.

Best idea is to fire up a buy it now with best offer.

No. I've given up on auctions & put stuff up on a Buy It Now with Make an Offer option.

Not lately, as haven't sold anything for probably over a decade. boxedin

I had the same selling an old macbook. Jumping in at last second and bidding silly money then fekin off.

Lost me some good buyers and eventually a bit of cash.

Someone suggested it was people selling similar stuff trying to ruin my sale

Why not use Gumtree with cash on collection?

eBay isn't very good nowadays. I had two auctions in a row messed up last year. This was after previously messed up sales.

I don't bother anymore. It's quite easy for people to mess stuff up.

Just send a second chance offer to the next highest bidder. Easy
