Does anyone know where I can get a reversing lamp housing for a 2004 Cerbera? Is there an alternative part, no mention in the equivalent parts thread

I've traced the fault to the housing so don't need the lens.

TVR Parts sell the whole item for £46! Seems a lot to me.

Thanks

Or if you just need one of these, PM me and you can have one of my spares that are floating around in a box of bits. I think they are the correct ones, it’s been a while smile

That’s a very kind offer, thank you.

Unfortunately it looks like i misdiagnosed the problem. The light housing is fine (it works if it switch it with the indicator). I suspect it’s actually the reversing light switch that’s faulty

With the MoT due in about 3 weeks, and knowing that my reverse light isn't working, I just checked the govt.uk site for the new MoT rules to find out what's now included and could mean a fail.

Bad news is reverse lights are included. Good news is only for 'vehicles first used from 1 September 2009'. Mine's a 2004. So it's on the list to get done but not essential before 'the test'! Happy days!

The switch is on the passenger side of the gearbox. Shouldn't be the worst job ever.

Ordinarily I'd crack on and get it done but I'm currently recovering from surgery to fix a broken leg/dislocated ankle.

The Airboot comes off 1st week of June, MoT due that week. Fingers crossed I'm signed off to drive so I can get the car to the MoT station. driving

Ironically it's because of the broken leg that I know the reverse light isn't working - I had a friend take me out for a blast in the Cerb as it had been sat not moving for around 6 weeks. As he pulled it out of the garage I saw the reverse light wasnt working!
