Had a (modest) accident in my VW lease car yesterday.

Car is booked in for repairs next week.

With regards the subsequent repairs, will VW Finance send someone out to inspect the quality is acceptable or will it be rolled into the hand back inspection at the end of the lease period?

Based on my experience they won't even ask. Someone used my Alltrack as an assisted braking device from 50 - 0mph. VWFS insisted on an approved VW repair (£6.5k) and told me to keep the 2 year repair guarantee. On hand back last month they didn't ask for it.

Thanks for the reply Eddie. In which case, is it even worth notifying VWFS of the accident?

Did you end up using a VW approved repairer? If so, where did you get their details from - VWFS?

I'm sure you have an obligation to inform VWFS (I may be talking twaddle but i informed them anway because #honestguv). Any VW franchised garage with a body shop offers approved repairs IIRC.
