BMW Warranty Monthly

Quick question. I have sold my BMW (pending collection next week) which has had a (monthly) BMW Mondial warranty on it for over 18 months now.
The car has a small fault on it however I cannot get an appointment any time soon, seems to be a 4 week wait.

The new owner is planning to take over the warranty so I wanted to confirm if there would be no delay in him being to claim for the issue.

I know there is a 6 week wait or something if you are a new policy holder and the car did not have a warranty on it before.

I called Mondial and they said there would be no issue but the guy didnt sound confident - he sounded like he had a rough thursday night! lol

New owner is aware of the fault and is happy to take it as is.

Based on what I was told, with confidence, in 2016 it's seamless if new owner takes on monthly payments within a month of old owner selling car to them.
I sold 335i and new owner called there and then, got it at same rate as I paid and would have no embargo on making a claim or calling rescue, say, even on the way home from buying car
No reason to believe this has changed.
