I traded my '09 XFR in for this 2010 one. 36k less miles and a few more toys - very happy!

Feels somewhat quicker than the old one.

That’s a mighty nice bonnet vent.
How do thenrunning costs of these compare to their Mercedes and bmw counterparts? I always imagine jaguars to be less maintenance heavy for some reason - they’re certainly better looking than the e class and 5 series!

That's nice op. The xfr is a handsome thing. Considered one myself a while back. Enjoy.

This is my third XF - first was an SV8, followed by another XFR. Servicing costs are about £250/300 from a Jag specialist. It shares most suspension components with the rest of the XF range. I was quoted £260+VAT for rear pads and discs - Jag dealer wanted £500+!! Not sure how this would compare to BMW / Mercedes.

Insurance obviously varies greatly - I'm in the SW, 47yrs old with full NCB; I pay about £290 per year.

MPG on my commute is about 20mpg, and I get just short of 30mpg on a motorway run. When the mood takes me this can be greatly reduced!

A friend of mine bought an 09 plate one recently. He's averaging about 18mpg - but is taking advantage of the power frequently!
It's an impressive car, with a great noise.

Noise is a little muted with the stock exhaust; I recently bought a Spires one. It's going on the new one tomorrow.

I expect your friend has the Spires?
