I am only interested in the 3:

Peugeot RCZ R
VW Golf R cabrio
Abarth 595/595c or 695

I like them all, but would appreciate views. I already have a VW Golf R estate, so do I need another VW? Is the Abarth, even in sport guise still a girls or a youngers car. Is the RCZ R a girls car, even though it’s a much nicer looking of a MK1 TT?

I could live with any of them and have some fun, but also interested in reliability, running costs etc on the Abarth and Peugeot.

I don't think VW manufacture a Golf R Cabrio, just 3dr & 5dr Hatch & the 5dr Estate.

Of the remaining 2 i'd look at the Arbarth's however what about the new Fiat 124 Spider?

I don't like the Spider at all, would rather have an MX5

They did a Golf R cabrio. There is also a GTI cabrio

I want DSG ideally and that would rule out the RCZ

The cabrio is based on the old chassis so don’t expect it to be anywhere near as good as your R estate.

The Abarth in red and black with monza exhaust is a mean little thing!

Out of those 3, i'd go for the Abarth.

I'd bear in mind that the "automatic" in the 500/595 is a single clutch gearbox and not a dual clutch like the DSG in the Golf.

It’s a bit of an incomparable choice really

I’d go 695c then a R cab personally - but that depends if the rears will not be used, if they are then I’d reverse the 2

I am look at 2 595 Competiziones. One is a 595 in a pearl grey with red leather and the other a 595C in red with black seats. Am also thinking of a 695 XSR Yahama edition with grey paintwork (manual)

I think maybe I want something different than another VW. I am not looking for anything particularly practical, just fun

Any views on Abarth 595/695 reliability?

Thanks
