Penalty points for missing lug nuts?

I have 4/5 lug nuts on each wheel i.e. one is missing per wheel.

Is that illegal\will I get points?

Whenever I've been stopped by police they've never said anything about missing lug nuts and I also see many cars with a missing lug nut often.

I've been generally sceptical of those calling you out as a troll over your previous threads, but - sorry - this is a step too far.

Nobody can be as genuinely cretinous as you make out to be, and still remember to breathe, let alone drive and type relatively coherently.

The only question left is who you used to post as.

And btw, the likely outcome would be three points and CU20 on your licence - "Causing or likely to cause danger by reason of use of unsuitable vehicle or using a vehicle with parts or accessories (excluding brakes, steering or tyres) in a dangerous condition"

They aren't "lug nuts" this side of the pond, btw.

My last MOT I had lost a locking nut during a wheel refurb a few weeks prior, I was told that the car would fail but as I have a new set that I bought from a user on here, they changed all 4 and passed the car.

As it being points I have no idea but if you lose a wheel and have an accident please feel free to pop back and tell us about it. the point that the bolt is missing will be the weak point.

Was it the Citroen 2CV that only had three nuts holding each wheel on?

I only have the one holding the rear wheel on on the bike but it is a fking big one, it also has a safety clip and the safety clip is lock wired...

I had a Renault 12 which, if memory serves, also had three 'lug nuts'. The wheel didn't have a centre hole, either - which made normal balancing impossible

Someone I know was driving back in his Astra van from Anglesea when he noticed one of his wheels overtake him. When he stopped he found someone had pinched a number of his chrome wheel nuts leaving only the locking ones in place. The front one sheered off. I'd never seen a brake disc the shape of a half moon before.
