E90 LCI auto stop/start
Discussion
Was automatic stop/start standard equipment on the LCI E90?
I've got an E90 330i M Sport manual, but it doesn't seem to have it. (I've had the car for a few months, so I'd expect it to have happened at least once, if it was fitted.) I'd got the impression from somewhere it was a standard option, though...
This isn't functionality I'm especially bothered about, but if the car does have it then it feels like I should really switch it on (if that's easy to do) to try it out.

My E91 335d LCi didn't have it.
Maybe "standard" on the smaller Efficient Dynamics models.
If fitted, there is an on/off switch above the starter button. The cars are usually coded to have it on all the time, unless you manually switch it off. It defaults back to on next time you start the car.
I've stop start on my 440. I wish I hadn't. It's on my list for coding out!

The M3 of that generation got start/stop as debated / bemoaned here!

I thought it came in during April 2010, around the time of the LCI coupe with various e/dynamic 'changes,' (LCI saloon being 2009) which c/would explain why the OP didn't have it, car built before it?
Why a 2011 335d car didn't , I've no idea.

Strange that. My 2010 1 series had it.
I’m afraid your wrong. You either had a manual or a newer 1 series. Are you sure it was an automatic? Because even the f01 never had It to begin with as the early ones still had the 6 speed auto

it sounds like mine predates this feature, then, assuming it actually ever made it to the 330i. My car is a 10 plate, registered in March 2010.
Interesting that BMW even bothered fitting it to the M3...
Be grateful if you don't have it! Interesting that BMW even bothered fitting it to the M3...
My 123d had stop/start, which is probably why the AGM battery died after 4 and a half years and less than 55K miles (and the replacement had to be coded so a new battery cost over £250 six years ago)!

Then at 6 and a half years and 77K miles it needed a new starter motor - another £600!
I can't help thinking these 2 issues are related to having stop/start - after the battery got replaced I made a point of turning it off all the time!
By 2014 I didn't need to run a diesel so I saw the light and got a Z4 Coupe which needed it's first new battery on it's 10th birthday after 81K miles - and it cost less than £110 fitted by my BMW Indy (the car was in for other work at the time).
