Can anyone recommend a good chip repairer in the Essex area?
I have a speed yellow boxster, which has a couple of annoying stone chips on the bonnet. I saw the stone coming from about 100 yards .. If I hadn’t braked it
Would have cleared the car.... Always the way.
It’s not too bad but very annoying!

Chipsaway do this type of repair but I've no idea how good they are. You can find them on the web and I think you can phone them for your local Chipsawy man.

Used Chipsaway on several cars and always been good.

They are a franchise so get to know the guy and judge for yourself.

They have a bit of trouble with some paint colours but they are usually upfront about it and wont touch anything they cant do rather than make a mess

Maddog-UK you are correct - You had already recommended chipsaway to me - But you drive a TVR so I
thought I might get a second opinion from someone who
knows a bit about cars :-*)
(I work with him)

Soir - I have asked for a quote from chipsaway , I will
post how much the charge for the work.

Well so far have had no response from chipsaway...
I hope they are better at repairs than they are at communication

Not a bad job in the end - It was never going to be an
invisible repair, but for £41.13 it's done the trick.

£60 for a few small chips I've been quoted but they wont remove them just touch them up better!

Yea its more of a chipscoveritupabitbetterthanitwasbefore
than chipsaway , but in this case the options were limited: Pay for a bonnet respray for 4 chips, or cover
them up as best as possible. I was advised by Porsche
that in this colour , and the placement of the chips, an invisible repair was impossible without a respray, so my expectations were not high. To this end I am happy with the work that was done, as I knew what I was going to get :-)
