BMW E46 rust

Hi all just looking for some input, I've got rust underneath the sideskirts around the jacking point and along that piece of body work now is that classed as the sill or the floor pan? People are telling me different things that the sill doesn't cover under the car parallel with the jacking points.
Any advice would be great

How bad is it?
I have this dilemma on my E46.
The jacking points look fine but it's difficult to tell unless you remove the skirts to inspect.
I'm a bit reluctant to remove them in case I dont like what I find!

Not sure of the question? Why do you want to know if it’s the sill or floor?

I’d call it the sill. This is how I fixed it:





0.9mm steel cut and shaped to fit.
