I am planning on going to Monkey World this weekend with my girlfriend as she watches the TV programme and really wants to go.
I am taking the Griff, so it's the drive for me and the animals for her.
Firstly: are there a lot of Scameras or sites on the way down or is it pretty quiet?
Secondly: Is it quite easy to find once I get down to near it, signposts etc?
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Chris

Is this the Monkey World near Bovington in Dorset?
If so, you'll be pleased to hear that, as far as I can recall, there are very few fixed Gatso sites in the area (depending on your route). I'd zip along to Bere Regis and turn left, rather than go via the Wareham by-pass (clogged up with Studland traffic). And it's well signposted. Bovington Tank Museum is close by if you get bored of Chimps, and is well worth a look.

I think it's quite easy to find. Not far from the tank museum. There's plenty of sign posts for that and I seem to remember there were a fair few for Monkey World too. Sorry if it's a bit non-descript, it's a couple of years since I've been.
I'll recommend it to anyone.
The monkeys creased me up! They're so funny!

Where are you coming from????
Head to Bere Regis, and from there head to Wool.
Once outside of Bere Regis You will be on a wide country road with some geat bends (NSL) so a gret place for a blast. There is a very long straight, and Monkey World will be on your leftm, about half way along this straight.
From what I remember, there are now Scameras on the main road, but sometimes a mobile van can be found in Bere Regis itself (30 MPH limit).
There are quite a few good roads around this area to fully enjoy your Griff. Patr of teh ride drive course I did was in this are.
Enjoy the drive.

No scameras in the area IIRC. Don't forget the Shell garage at Bere Regis sells Optimax
Having visited Money World, why not head south through Wool and go to Lulworth Cove.

Excellent!! Didn't know I could put it in to Multimap!!
What's at Lulworth Cove?
Luckily I use 95RON so no fuel issues.
O/T - We've planned a mini S meet in the New Forest this weekend, Chris. About 8 of us so far.
We are going to be ending up at a pub not far from junction 1 of the M27 (near Cadnam) - probably at about 4:30 / 5:00 on Sunday afternoon.
Drop me a mail if you fancy stopping off for a sly one with the Griff - I'll give you mobile.

I tell my son we can't go to Monkey World because I'm concerned that they might lock him up with the other monkeys and not let me take him home again.
I lived round them parts for 12 months about 15 years ago. I had a crap car then, but still used to enjoy some serious hooning. Almost came a cropper a few times though, so beware.
The Tank Museum is definitely worth a visit if at all possible.

I can see the local Councillors throbbing with glee when they thought of that one. I mean, association with a film? How cool is that?
