I have a Mini one 1.6 2010 , it has a coolant leak on front passenger side, only leaking when car is standing cold ! The car has been checked by two different machanics , all seems fine! Their is only a small leak but it is very worrying when you see a leak under the car !! Many thanks
Quite likely.
OP - aircon does two jobs. One is cooling the air, one is drying it - it's why it's so good at demisting windows. The condensate from that drying has to go somewhere, so there's a drain that empties under the car. If you're not losing coolant, it's odds-on to be that drain that you're seeing.

If it is only leaking when standing cold it might be a metal to metal joint somewhere on the engine. Many years ago in 2003 I had a Ford Escort Estate. I took it to a dealership, they said water pump, it was changes but the leak was still there. Then they said expansion tank and changed that, it was still there. So long as the engine was warm or hot, no leakage, but overnight it would almost empty the expansion tank.I finally found it by chance when I saw water squirting out of the engine block which had a 6" hairline crack in it. As soon as the engine was warm no leak.
Mini's seem to have an issue with coolant leaks.
Can you see any coolant stains anywhere? Bung a load of paper towels around likely spots.
Common issues seem to be expansion tank, thermostat and the joint between the water pump and the engine.
Do I recall that bmw also had an issue with core plugs failing on a batch of engines?
