Hi chaps

Managed to get hold of a 328i sport xdrive for 18k, from my local bmw dealer. Car has done 10k in 3 years.

Is the deal worth it?

I didn't realise they brought the 328i xdrive to the UK.

Full spec? A lot of difference between "Sport" and "M sport" at that time. My brother had an estate, spec was measly, options are necessary...

What are the details? prices are massively varied based on spec, extra's, owners, colour, leather or cloth, history UK car?

Is this the exact model you want?, its a rare spec model not much choice really if that is the model you want what other ones are there to chose from?

BMW main dealer will fleece you every single step of the way from trade in value, purchase price, forced add on's and servicing and parts (at least you get the free drinks in the nice shiny showroom while they empty your wallet.).

(I love 6 cylinder BMW's but I only visit the BMW main dealers when forced to (recalls and obscure main dealer parts)

As above you'll need to list the spec so we can establish if it's a good deal.

Rallycross the the 328i is a 2.0T.

There was no 328i X Drive for the UK Market, so must be an import.

Why spend 330i money on a 2.0 4 pot?

Very good point, but didn't the 328 replace the 330?

So you'd now need to get a 335 to get a proper engine - but that's now called a 440i or something?
Its hard to follow what they are now, do they do a 214 as well, are they steeling all the old Rover numbers they got when they bought/sold/shut down Rover?

Over the years have owned many 3 series, the only reason to buy a 3 series is the wonderful 6 cylinder engine.

Sadly BMW started to ruin this with this with the 328 and later models.

Its no longer a special car with a 4 cylinder engine, the 6 cylinder BMW engines are fantastic, petrol or even diesel the 6 cylinders make the car. OK you get good power, low emissions, low tax, but open the bonnet and 2 cylinders are missing!

Sport package, and lots of rear pdc. Not the highest specification tbh. Colours? Leather?

The F30 recent 328i and 330i are 4 pots. The only 6 pot petrols iirc are the 335i, which was replaced by 340i and the M3

I had a 2017 430i M sport in Vegas for a few days, drove 1200 miles to LA and the Grand Canyon and thought it was a great engine.
