Third Party Capture - not satisfied... next step?
Discussion
As-per the title, really?
What's my next step considering I'm more than a little unhappy with the TP's action?
Short version, non-fault claim, their policy-holder totally at fault (hit a parked car after all), and the TP are offering to fix cosmetic work (one alloy, rear wing, rear bumper) but claiming the mechanical noises are unrelated and won't cover - bearing in mind the bodyshop has neither a pit, nor a lift, unsure as to how they can assess axle/suspension/diff etc.
Proceed with TP's arguments/complaints procedures?
Get onto my insurance and ask them to take over (can they do that?)?
Not happy - just want to be where I was before - car the same shape and shade as it left the factory, and the only noise an exhaust note.

The third party insurer's complaints procedure will only be open to their own customers - which you aren't. If you want to force the third party insurer to pay for all the repairs, and shouting down the phone doesn't work, then ultimately the only way to do this is via the courts.
OTOH if you put the claim through your own insurance there's no guarantee that they won't say the same about the mechanical noises, but if you're not satisfied you can use their complaints procedure - and then escalate your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman, which is free (to you).
