Well, my beastie passed it's MOT this week - and the total work required was..........NOTHING!!

No corrosion, no wobbly bearings, No headlamp alligning, no mixture tweeking, not even a hand brake to tighten - even though the MOT was carried out at a VERY reputable garage.

I do love it when a plan comes together!

Just had mine done but required another chunk of chassis replacing. Asked the station to have a good prod around and no horror stories showed up. Waxoyl aplenty applied.

lucky git mine has succumbed to the outrigger rot and needs a steering rack any ideas on best place to source the steering rack guys - non pas '84 350i

Mine sailed striaght through as well! It's a great feeling.

Passed MOT as well, but did the work before (and during): replaced all front ball joints and suspension bushes. And as all time went into the front suspension had to go to MOT with raised headlight pods, and tweak CO 50% down during MOT!

Edited for: welded some plates on my outriggers as well (the outriggers themselves were fine)

Taking mine tomorrow. Hope it goes as well as your's. Not expecting any problems, but you never know........

Mine failed on steering rack, it was cheaper to buy a new one than source the parts and repair the old one, passed now, what a difference

Well it passed. The only problem was Fog Lights, a quick clean of the switch sorted that out. Getting a bit sick of the crap switches. The hazzard switch broke a few weeks ago, ordered another TR7 one but it doesn't fit.
