I'm interested in an ex-demo car (so a big discount is involved), but the only problem is it's white which I don't like. Any idea how much approximately is a full car wrap and can anyone recommend anyone in the North East of England ?

(It's not an MX5 or a 335d BTW)

Suzuki swift or FFRR? Will make quite a difference to price, but I would expect circa 2k and they never look as good as paint.

Around 2k depending on vehicle.

You need to ensure you get someone who will strip it down and minimise the number of cuts directly on the vehicle. If they do not strip it down then chances are you going to end up with them cutting it on the car, wrong blade and you end up slicing the paint.

I used to produce and fit wraps to vehicles. Fine for commercial vehicle livery but not genuinely comparable to an OEM paint finish after a few months usage. (IMHO)

So a matt wrap could work then . . .

Even worse IMO, and I'm qualified/experienced to do it

Matt can look better but you need to look after it. Bird crap can spoil the finish, as can rough cleaning.
You can get really unlucky and park in the wrong spot where a focused reflection from the sun concentrates on a particular spot and you end up with a 'gloss' spot.
Material is generally £30-£40 a metre, between 15-20 metres generally to do a car properly. most of the cost will be labour
Go with someone who does it for a living, not a generic signage company.

I like the idea but would never be happy to have an often used car covered in it, what happens when someone drops hot cigarette ash on it etc etc...???

A friend of mine has decided to wrap his Scirocco, largely because he fancied learning a new skill. I spent this morning helping him out and it took us 4 hrs to do the front bumper but that included stripping all the grilles etc off and cleaning all the surfaces thoroughly. The result looks nigh on perfect. I think all the wrap and tools cost him about £400-500. Why not give it a go yourself? It’s really not that hard if you buy decent wrap and take your time.
