My money is on feral dog, a mongrel from a large breed stock like Irish Wolfhound or Newfoundland.

I saw this an thought it looked like a probable 3rd or 4th gen wild wolfhound type creature - it’s hardly near or werewolf territory!

I still don't understand the need to shoot predators looking to take livestock. Having a livestock guardian dog would ensure that the livestock are kept safe and that the predator comes to no harm.

I've no idea what that is but I suspect Alorotom isn't far off the mark.

Kind of. But LGDs can and do kill predators.

Just seems to be quite common in the US to kill anything that moves. They allow traps FFS.
