I’m helping out our next door neighbour. He’s an elderly gent and a good friend. They have a second home in Denmark, and currently drive an old TDi Passat that is LHD and UK registered. A quick google is showing a few places down south, we live in Perth, that deal in left hand drive only. Are these places any good and are there any to avoid. He ideally wants a similar replacement but 3-4 years old.
Just out of interest I take it he has worked out that he will spend more time driving LHD than RHD or is this a second car? I only ask because usually when someone bothers to register a LHD, non UKDM car is because they spend more time in the UK than overseas / europe! The other issues with LHD cars can be proof of history / service history etc and choice of vehicle.
There are indeed very few places specialising in this it looks like he may need to take a trip down south!

It’s their only car, they currently spend half the time here in the UK and half their time in Denmark. They’ve sold up and are moving permanently to Denmark. The Passat was bought in Holland and registered here. I think it’s easier for insurance etc. They drive back and forward every three months or so.
