Ted, have you got an approximate demographics of how many people read the threads, VS the number of people who post.

Just curious whether a thread with 30 replies is typically ready by fifty people, or closer to a thousand. Just wondering whether I should be plugging my web design business more often thats all

If, as a web designer, you don't have a ballpark idea of the ratio of readers to contributors for an average forum, I would hesitate to ask you to design my website

i nicked that joke from a book I'm reading about the Apollo moon project at the moment. apparently the astronauts used to have to undergo extensive psycho-analytical testing, and one of the tests was to hold up a blank piece of paper and ask the astronaut what he saw, to which Pete Conrad replied 'nothing. its upside down'. made me laugh anyway.
