Insurance claim surely?

The suspension arms will be bent. Minor panel damage as well I think! That will cost a fortune to fix.

I’d suspect that’s close to write off territory depending on the age of the car - if it’s a 13 plate it’s probably worth 9-10k - I bet there’s there’s 3-4K in panel damage there easily, not taking into account wheels and suspension etc

Put it this way, my MK7.5 estate was in quite a light accident sustaining far less damage than that (no suspension work at all) and the bill was £6k.

It has been in a crash,

Someone drove into it

Claim of their insurance.

Yeah the third party hit and ran. I want to see repair price before I claim on insurance and send my insurance up for the rest of my life.

Not been yet. Everything's closed on Sundays. And to top it off, bank holiday monday. But the back wheel seems to be in abit of bother. Can't figure what's wrong with it.

Something is bent. I told you that in the first reply. As to exactly which piece...... Well you need to get under the car and look at all of the suspension arms and examine them.

It is not rocket science.

DuraAce 😂😂 for someone like me, it is would be rocket science. I've only ever bought cars and drove them. That's it. I'll just wait till Tuesday.

You said you can't figure what's wrong with it!

Isn't it obvious that something is bent/broken? Have you even looked underneath it?

Under no circumstances should you drive the car.

Also inform your insurance and police immediately.

I agree, that's a big hit.

And more expensive to repair than you want to be paying out yourself!

The bodywork damage will be far more expensive than the suspension damage but if you look at the picture below I've arrowed the replaceable links that will likely be bent. These are both easily replaceable, the wheel hub may also need replacing and I'd be getting a new wheel even if it looks ok.

@Blaster72 perfect. Ur the best. Just what I wanted to hear about the suspension. Any chance you could tell me what the parts are called. But yeah, the tyres are michelin ice x 😭😭. But I best take your advice up. If it needs replacing, then I'll have to get a new tyre.

Bit late to be driving on full winter tyres?

Strange that the rear wheel being black doesn't show any obvious signs of impact damage, still that is a lot bodywork damage including the sill.

New wheel, not new tyre. Personally, I think you’d be mad to drive that anywhere before someone has a look at it.

I'm still on winter tyres. I've only died twice so far.
