Hi!
I am the (very) proud owner of a stunning (aren't they all!) 4.0 Chimaera. My question is what options are there for fitting different wheels on this car??
I'm not looking at going all bling bling but saw a Chim' the other day with some gorgeous 6 spoke wheels which set it off perfectly. They looked somewhat larger than the standard items fitted to mine. What sizes can you go up to and do you still need to have a larger diameter wheel at the rear than the front?
Would be very interested to know.....

I've had no such problems with my 17's (RL-7) infact with Nitrons the drive is brilliant

Try imagewheels.co.uk I got mine from there (see my profile ) and I'm very pleased with them. I've stuck with 16"all round as I've heard that any bigger and you can get tramlining and a bouncy ride. peter
I have recently put 18" on the rear and 17" at the front and apart from the obvious ie harder ride and "some" tramlining (which as long as I don't use the car as an off road vehicle is livable)I have also found that the steering is now a lot lighter, and as my Chimaera is non P.A.S. it has been a bonus - also she looks fantastic 10 spoke wheels from Kai racing which I purchased from my local Car / Bike accessory shop.
It's all down to preference, how much you want to spend, looks, performance etc etc. I don't mind the harder ride (it never was soft anyway!)
I must post the pictures with the new wheels - I'm away this weekend I will attempt next week.

Baddest!? I hope you mean in terms of tuning and not just slapping on big wheels! Nvtrev (2 LS engined Chimps both well over 400bhp) and Mine (over 400bhp and ft/lbs) + Steve Hall's (Tuscan engined one - www.v8developments.co.uk/stevedyno.htm)

Yep, I mean bad as in fire breathing, tarmac ripping highest state of tune.
I think Pauls - nztrev (one of them anyway) - both well over 400bhp but one an out and out track car the other track day car and bit of road (Paul correct me if wrong - it has been known!), then mine (but need to get on rollers when run in) and close followed by Steve's (but steves is more developed with the cage and shock etc) - I have a bit of catching up to do over the summer. Cage for Le man may even be a stretch?

Bit of a virgin at this (sorry). what is LS? I assume it's an engine transplant but what is the donor?
And who would I need to talk to?

not quite sure what's best just yet. But the idea of boat loads of power does sound rather good!
