Just gone past a seen that you don't see every day.

Between Sandbach and Crewe, aprox. 12 unmarked cars and 1, maybe 2 'getaway' cars, all parked up, post chase?

Some black geezers cuffed up, sat on the pavement/roadside with coppers pointing guns at them and a load more coppers searching around the area.

Looked like the remains of a pretty serious chase.

Anyone got any more info?

Naah, it would have to be 9MPH over the limit on the motorway for to get the shooters out

I have witnessed a similar scene in Bradford before with several police vehicles including helicoptors and machine gun armed police. It seems to be the action for a very serious crime! Like speeding 5 mph over the 30mph limit

Armed police take downs seem to be a lot more dramatic than they used to be.
Many years ago, at the age of about 13, i was doing my morning milk round (always been career minded). On the way down a driveway i was confronted with a disshevelled looking gentleman carrying a shotgun He pointed the gun at me, decided i wasn't worth the price of a cartridge and carried on his way. I ran back to my dad (the milkman) to see the guy being loaded into the back of a police car. Turns out he'd been taking pot shots at his ex wife's house. The BiB turned up and calmly told him to stop being such a bloody idiot and put the gun down........

No shouting, no nomex clad police officers charging through hedges, just a very brave local copper facing the guy down.

Pity I didn't go home that way - sounds like I missed something.
