F10 5 series brake question.

Probably going to need discs and pads very soon for my 64 plate 520 D auto

Any idea of what I’d pay at a decent indie rather than the local dealer ?

Save me ringing around for quotes being the lazy b****** that I am.

Just had my F11 535i MOT'd at Halfords autocentre which quoted me for the advisory on the front discs and pads, £595 fitted! Seems expensive so looking forward to seeing some more replies.

My F10 535d is only BMW serviced.

I had
front pads and discs changed late 2017 £445 fitted.
Rear pads £218 fitted.

Note the front discs had lasted 94k Miles - and from looking at the history the pads were changed at 48k miles.
The rear discs didn’t need changing so still original and given the miles done hey expect them to last up to 140-150k miles. Note the rear pads did 94k miles andwere just “low” not bad but easier to get done same time as the front pads.


Seems Halfords is still halfrauds & OEM parts fitted by main dealer is cheaper - crazy.
