Afternoon

My mail-order business has a uk landline that customers call to place orders. When I've been abroad in the past couple of years, I've diverted the landline to my mobile so I can still take orders. However, customers hear the foreign ringtone when calling and often hang up. Either they think they've misdialled/think I'm on holiday so won't answer/think it costs them more (all of which are incorrect!).

So I'm after a company that can provide a UK ringtone while travelling. So I could divert my shop phone number to their number which would be picked up on my mobile.

I've found a company called TTNC that seem to do this - just wondered if anyone has used them or has any other suggestions?

Cheers

We use TTNC for some numbers. It's OK, the portal is a bit slow and can be confusing, but there are some decent features. I have a number diverted to my mobile, and as I'm in Spain today I tested it for you. I get a UK ring tone. HTH.

Take a look at Truphone.com

No idea about the ringtone, but because it's a global provider, it might.

Have spoken to TTNC - £20 a year for a virtual number, then £5/month for the ringtone service. The ringtone service can be switched on and off month by month. Then 10p/min for any calls received.
