Advice please: my need for speed....
Discussion
Folks,
I have a need for speed. By which i mean a fun fast vehicle, not a desire to watch an awful movie franchise......
I have some quick-ish cars, and drive with enthusiasm in public, but none of my cars are particularly suitable for track days: the ethical place for the 11/10. So, looking for advice on what i should get - with bang per buck a factor; the cheaper the better, but upto 30k if needs be.....
As a ball-park, i find 0-100 in under ten seconds fast. Not particularly fussed on scoring high-speed numbers - i do enough work in Germany that i've had that fix.
The obvious thought is a big-ish bike, but that might be tricky to convince my partner about. Also have doubts about how good a rider i am.
The other idea is a Cateram-type thing - perhaps a bike-engined lo-cost for economy.
The final idea is a rotax, or other senior, go-kart. Not sure how i feel about spending weekends hanging out with teenagers dreaming of F1, but claims for their handling/acceleration are impressive.
Ultimately, i guess a drive it/break it MX5 would teach me to be a better driver - but would probably be just too slow. And i definately don't want a 911.....
Thoughts welcome!

Get a GSX-R 750 not to much power to scare yourself with but a very forgiving chassis & just enough to keep entertained.
