Hi,

We're converting the loft for a cinema / games room. Had plans done but stairs coming out in the middle of loft compromising space. Do you think this will give us enough space to project and fit seating for cinema? Was wanting to project on wall currently showing a window (window is to be moved to opposite side were water tanks etc. are)

Any advice on whether there is enough space or alternative layout for stairs would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

That staircase is in the worst place possible - issues with projector throw length, seating etc.

I'd definitely go back to the architect and ask him about options to move. It looks a perfect location for the first floor though. Could you split the attic up in to bedrooms which would mean you gain on the middle floor?

That is a tough one, agree that the stair are in the best position for the landing, but absolute worst for use of the room.

Architect need shooting for not thinking that through (unless you are the architect, then just go outside and give yourself a good talking to)

Looking at your floor plan, I think you could steal the space out of one of the bedrooms.

To me it looks like the easiest is the top right bedroom. The trick is getting the stairs to end in the middle of the room for head height and building regs.

Who wants a bedroom with no windows anyway?
