Any idea why they are doing this? The only advantage seems to be that it forces all the queue for the main entrance into the city rather than on the dual carriageway, but if the dual carriageway (only the Paris to Angers direction?) is closed anyway what is the point?

Well we're used to the special Le Mans week roadworks, miles of empty lanes cordoned off etc, but that's a belter

Think it just advisory.... and I have been informed that race week should be normal..... I wonder if the tunnel in Rouen will still have one lane closed for "roadworks"???
