Wow, that is unbelievable! Glad no one was hurt and shows how tough these cars are. Looks like they hit the grass and flipped? At a decent speed too..

  • **ing Hell!
Glad no one injured. Does look pretty robust, given that it appears to have taken off, inverted and landed upside down, rather than merely rolled.

And handfull of posts and still no one has discussed value. Standards are slipping.

Also what the owner's house is worth and how much their kids school fees are.

We have a right to know.

They all do that at over 500 miles expose to real air sir, that’s why you’re supposed to leave it in a sealed garage.

That or it was some gammon from the bike versus car thread... “Proposterous that a two wheel chav on benefits with a pocket rocket is faster! Watch this...”

But seriously glad/ lucky no one hurt.

'it appears to have taken off, inverted and landed upside down, rather than merely rolled.'

Using AAIB skills I would suggest that it has, indeed, achieved V1 and rotated (take off) but has failed to achieve V2 (sustained flight speed) and has landed on its tail, thus removing the engine from the gearbox, prior to becoming inverted in the field where it eventually came to rest....... In the light os no evidence of ctasrophic failure, one can only suspect pilot error as the primary cause of this incident.

The old "if in doubt, blame the pilot" procedures are still alive and well, then.......:-)

A friend rolled his GT3 at the ring a few years back. His passenger and he walked away without so much as a scratch.

Cant say there would be the same outcome with my TVR.......

With all due respect, getting to the Ring in a TVR would be quite an undertaking in itself ...

The road looks much more narrow than it does on the telly, not much room to sort out a wobble before you end up in the scenery.

Are we making excuses for the crash now? wink

Can I join in? In the third picture, it definitely looks as though the hedge pulled out in front of him.

Apparently he was having some fun with bikers, he got loose on a crest which put him into a bit of a tank slapper & he didn't have enough road to gather it up.

The bikers stopped to help him out & he didn't have serious injury, shame about the car though.
