No brake lights

As above, tried the fuses, bulbs, bulb connector (which needs replacing but still works the side lights) and tried the button on the pedal as well, any other ideas as its a bit of a bugger when your driving with no lights (eh Oggs )

When you say you've tried the button (switch) on the pedal, what do you mean? ie. have you tested for electrical continuity when depressed?

My switch appeared to be ok, but when it was opened up the contacts had oxidised/corroded and weren't actually completing the circuit.

Check continuity to earth from the bulbs?

Do you have a 12volt feed to one side of the switch?

I'm going to go and buy a new buld unit as a 1st port of call now as the bulb just kinda spins around in the holder, will report back laters !

On mine when the brake lights stopped working it turned out to be the black connector in the boot, just a snap together connector which had somehow?? worked itself loose. It still looked together at first glance so I initially dismissed this as not the cause, but after much head scratching and checking everything that you have I finally checked this again properly.

Nope, tried that as well, EVERYTHING works bar the bloody brake lights !!

IS ther not a connector in the door pillars aswell, well ther is in the Griffith... These can corrode casing faults.

is the fuse ok or is it blowing? when my brake lights both went at once I checked the switch at the pedal, only to find it was fine. I sourced the problem to the wiper park switch under the bulkhead which was blowing the fuse shared with the brake lights. worth checking to see if your wipers parkwhen used on the intermittant setting.
