Buying Your Old Cars Back
Discussion
Anyone that's seen my ST170 thread will know I have a thing for finding old cars from the family, I recently found out the old family Alhambra went to the yard last year, and only today I've found and agreed to buy back my dad's Leon 225 after being told it was scrapped (had some crap mods, but looks pretty mint/well done), I've started helping quite a few people on Facebook find their old cars too, just wondering whether anyone here has ever bought back any of their old cars from in their family? I'll show mine before and after below:

Don't havve photo's but I'd love to buy back my 1979 VW Golf N (for nothing) that I bought for £700 in 1989 and sold for scrap 3 or 4 years later.
About 6 months after selling it for scrap National Breakdown contacted me to review the service - clearly the car hadn't been scrapped.
So, if anyone sees Golf DVO832T, Mandarin Orange, do let me know.

I bought back my first car from the mate I sold it to. had to let it go again after about a year as it was very surplus to requirements and cost to much just to keep for sentimental reasons.
Wouldn't mind knowing where my old BMW has gotten to. I used to see it about and last I heard guy was going to put a cossie lump in it but I haven't seen it in years now reg was G523XPL

Not my car, but I'd be interested in tracing and potentially buying a car I remember from my youth.
It was / is a 1978 Porsche 911SC that had been made into a wide body. It was green and on the plate CKN 894Y.
I spoke to DVLA about it a few years ago and they reluctantly told me it was still on the road, now red and on a different plate.
Thread already running here.

Still to this day i dont know why i sold this! Well to be fair i do, i loved it that much i was using it as my daily driver and it stopped feeling special because of this. Within 1 week though i missed it so bought the 1.6 ltr version which i detested so sold it a few months later.

Bonehead bonehead bonehead
Would be it back in a heartbeat.
