New Video/Audio router from Draytek
Discussion
Here's a device that may be of interest to those putting in AV systems:

Basically it's an HDMI over IP video matrix built around a Gigabit switch. Convert your HDMI sources to IP & attach them to the ports of this switch, do the same with your destinations/screens & you can then use an app to select which source you watch on which screen. It can also do magic eye type IR control of the STB. You can add SFPs to punt the signal down to your mancave at the end of the garden & you can use non-video ports as ordinary gigabit ethernet ports.
No idea what it costs, how good the compression is or if it copes with HDCP though.

Saw this yesterday aswell, will be interesting as an alternative to typical matrix, presume it will allow IP control rather than just the app they are talking about so it can be controlled by C4, Crestron, Rti etc
The blurb says it has an API available so presumably the control vendors will write an interface if they see the demand for it.Gassing Station | Home Cinema & Hi-Fi | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
