Nurburgring Track Day!

I just received this email from the RMA. I went to the Ring with them last week - amazing! I kow this is an ad but I thought it of interest as getting on the 'Ring privately (read 'in safety') is virtually impossible.

"There is a strong possibility that we can get the Nordschleife on Friday May 27th, the weekend of the F1 race. If this is possible it is likely to be the last opportunity before our trip in November.
We need an immediate response to ascertain the viability of pursuing this further. If you are interested please call or email the office at your earliest convenience. If it goes ahead we would have the track from 8am till 16.45. The cost is likely to be £295 at least; dependant on numbers but with a Grand Prix taking place on the south circuit it could be a good weekend.
Accommodation is obviously going to be difficult but we can help there if necessary.

In all likelihood the Nordschleife will be diverted through the old public entrance so that grandstands can be erected for the GP. And Nurburg will be a zoo.

Definately got the bug. Very keen to learn the whole circuit so I don't spend the day being overtaken by locals in diesal Passat estates!

Unfortunately Mrs Richings has informed me I won't be going on this one! I'm going to Spa with The RMA in June, are you and Russell?

We're off to the Autotrack day 24/25 May at Spa, will probably stay on for the 'ring trip if it happens - if you can get near the place!

When are you going to Spa in June, will probably go dependent on dates.
