Really liked the Allroad a lot, esp. in 2.0 TFSI form. Had it for a year with zero issues. (Had had the 2.0 TFSI VAG recall engine recall work and a new S Tronic gearbox by Audi so wasnt expecting any issues!)

Just collected a very low mileage S4 with a nice uncommon interior, but similar spec in most other respects. Clearly quite a bit quicker having gone from 208bhp to 333bhp. It doesnt hang about!

Very nice, really like this generation of S4, supercharged V6 aren't they?

Yes, Supercharged 3.0. Apparently it is very tuneable, Chris Harris video on Youtube shows one keeping up with an RS4 after a Revo remap...

Now with all the bird poo damage, and crappy buffer trails by the supplying dealer removed, and a nice ceramic coating applied...

Thanks. A few neighbours didnt even realise it wasnt the Allroad (Specsavers etc).

I'm half tempted to replace the S4 badge with TDi smile

I really like these and are currently on my radar. This looks like a great example in a lovely colour combo. My only concern with these, is that I'd always have that anxious feeling that there was a very large gearbox bill just around the corner....

Yes there is an stronic fear. The allroad had a new one (after a few failed mexhatonic tries) by Audi at a cost of about 9k. But I think 2010 onwards things are better. I have put Audi warranty back on with roadside which is a good way to mitigate the risk....

Yes, 2010 on they're dramatically better (and facelift cars seem to be spot on).

There are now independents that can rebuild them for sensible money too.

Good to know. The Allroad was a 59, and this is an 11. It's also only done a tiny 20,000 miles and only ever been in Audi for it's 5 services.

I've stuck Audi warranty & roadside on, which isnt cheap at 65 quid a month, but I just don't need a multi-thousand pound bill in my life!

You have good taste sir! Always loved the Allroad, had an earlier C5 myself - always thought a good progression would be the supercharged S4 and as you say, simple stuff can turn them into a real wolf. Looks great after the coating too!

Thanks, certainly they seem very tunable - see Chris Harris video where a quick revo map took it level pegging with an RS4.

Looks good, I nearly changed my 14 plate vRS for a 59 reg one of these a few months back. It had all the kit but a dodge repair, rust on both front wings and underneath put me off. I'm still looking!!
