This looks nice, but never been there, right in the New Forest:
www.careysmanor.co.uk/
www.senspa.uk.com/site.html (website doesnt work very well)
Or Chewton Glen, another spa hotel in the New Forest.
www.chewtonglen.com/
Been there for a day and loved it.
Really nice area, lots of places to go etc. One and a half hours drive from SW London.

Want to get out of London tomorrow, anyone have any good recommendations for a really nice hotel within 2/3 hours drive of London where theres semi interesting stuff in the locality to see / do?
Hmmmm, a sunny Saturday morning on a bank holiday weekend
I think you'll need more than three hours just to get out of London...

A fine hotel I've used a few times when I've had to stay over in the big grime :-

Once spent four days at Chewton Glen on a business "retreat". Sumptuous doesn't do it justice. My room was so big I couldn't watch the TV from in bed without binoculars.

Check out www.wakeuptowoodstock.com.
Lots to see.Do and plenty of hotels to spoil you.
