Wrapped rough looking Porsche’s
Discussion
I’ve decided I dislike the brand tendency for being anally OEM, detailed, specced, FPSHE, valeted to a mirror finish etc etc.
So this concept has really caught my eye:

Is this a sub culture? How does a good customised wrap like this cost? I’m tempted to do one on a Gen2 987. I love the 17inch gold wheels.

I was quoted between £1200 and £3600 for a colour change on my 981. The amount you pay will be reflected in the quality of the finish.
Ironically the neglected look probably requires massive attention to detail to get it to look just right, I'd guess it would double the cost. That one does look good.
I ended up going DIY for a colour change on my car and I'm happy with the results for a first attempt. Friends and family thought I was bonkers but everyone has been impressed so far. Steep learning curve but I see myself re wrapping the car once a year going forward in lots of non OEM colours.
Great skill to learn in my opinion and look forward to using it again on lots of future projects.
