All: Can anyone recommend a pair of lights for use in daytime on the road (to be seen rather than to see with)?

Thanks.

If just being seen is the main use, I find these to be very good.

Hi, can't help with the front light, but this is probably the best rear light I have had - a Bontrager Flare R, not cheap but worth it IMO.

I use an exposure blaze mk2 light with reakt.... Absolutely brilliant light. The reakt tech I don't really tend to use though.

Exposure TraceR F+R for me. set on the highest and now with the Reakt stuff you can see from a long way away. I usually supplement with another rear and a proper front (Exposure Race on lower settings for evening riding in winter)

Bontrager Ion front, Flare rear.

Awesome lights for 'being seen' rather than 'seeing'. Although TBH I've used the Ion for gentle off-road and it was pretty good too.

Another Exposure user here. Have the Flash/Flare for just in case and a Strada 800/Trace-R for when I need to see where I’m going or the weather is grotty. Light, unobtrusive, easy to remove when not needed and most importantly bright.

I also use the Bontrager Ion/Flare combination

I use them more at night but they are intended to be a DRL for visibility.
Very bright and easy 6-7 hours per charge

I have those, they are ok but not brilliant - eat batteries too! For rear, how about a Moon Shield X? http://www.wiggle.co.uk/moon-shield-x-auto-rear-li... I have an older version and it's bloody bright, even on the lowest setting - you'd not be missed with one of these!

I have a Moon lx70 as well as my Exposure Blaze. The LX70 is a replacement for the original shield. It's very bright but not as well put together as the exposure and the battery life is nowhere near as good either. Still a good light though!

ThorFire BL01 Bike Light on the front - use it on the lowest setting and pedestrians still give the odd "I'm going blind" comment

Lezyne Strip Drive Pro 300 on the rear.

Not cheap and the Thor is bulky (detachable battery pack) but both are USB and last a full day.
