“Best” instant coffee?
Discussion
I know, I know!
Using the word “best” with “instant coffee” is sacrilege.
But I very rarely drink it and sometimes I crave a cup and I can’t be bothered getting the aeropress out and grinding the beans. I just want a quick cup in the morning before work.
Sainsbury’s used to do a really nice jar of Columbian instant in their Taste the Difference range but they’ve discontinued it.
Unless one of the other supermarkets do a really nice jar, or maybe I could buy something online, am I stuck with Nescafé Gold Blend?
Any help?

Nescafe Blend 37.
With instant, the best you can hope for is inoffensive. I usually just buy what is on offer. I use an Aeropress at work and a Gaggia esspresso machine at home, I've been informed by colleages that Nescafe Azera is pretty good:

Edit: Why not just get some pre-ground powder for the Aeropress and keep it in the freezer? M&S's own brand single source coffee is pretty good.

I had a similar conundrum at work - there's no decent coffee, and I can't be arsed to faff around with a cafetiere. I tried a couple of different instants until I discovered Lyons coffee-bags: http://amzn.eu/iaJfjCe
Best of both worlds. I get half-decent ground coffee without having to mess around with any equipment - and while it's not the last word in quality coffee it's a damn sight better than any instants I've tried.
