took geep for mot yesterday after glassing a small bit of ply into floor seems to be where front wheels direct road crap onto floor and making the exhaust sensible side exit as first incarnation exited straight onto fuel tank!! cortina pinto downpipe cut with front box on drivers side and right angke off down pipe attatched to exit the side. and it failed ....... on both front wheel bearing adjustments!!! thats all - everything else worked performed as it should - they even did an emissions test which it flew through wonderful drive back from mot station as hadnt driven it since december now all we need is a sunny day for sunday and the top and doors are off!!!

Well what a weekend you missed if you weren't there. The weather was kind with only a shower overnight. Woke up to a sunny day which dried the tents a treat. A good selection of cars- no truth in the rumour that the club is going to be renamed the R.J.O.C. Red Jago Owners Club- there were 2 yellow, 2 green and 1 blue car there as well, although outnumbered. Hi to Panther as well- what do you call those colours, Chris...

Not sure the entertainment was to everyones's taste. The official gig by "Zebra" was fun but the Westfield Owners' disco until 2 am was probably out of proportion to the requirements of most who stayed. In fact only about 15 saw the benefit and I expect hundreds were cursing.

The range of new kits expands with some super displays in the exhibition halls. The trade stands for parts were very busy throughout and I managed to source everything I needed from overalls, stainless fasteners and seatbelts to Activ8 at good prices.

It looks like the Newark Show is going to be the JOC social biggy this year so make a note of the date now...

Provided "Boris" is in reasonable fettle I shall be making the 700 mile round trip from Cornwall to Newark - not too sure about showing him, as he really needs a respray.

I suppose it all depends on expenditure on the mechanics.

I have to lay out on 5 tyres as someone has fitted 15x230x70s and they foul the bodywork - anyone want 5 part worn tyres?

I have added a few pics of the Stoneleigh stand to the Yahoo site , we had 9 cars on each day which is 3 times what we had at Stafford , so lets pull out all the stops for Newark and see if we can break the 20 barrier and show the Dutton/Rickman guys we mean business as we come of age!

At Newark there will be a small prize for the "furthest distance travelled" (going around the camp site 100 times DOES not count ) and you will get your mug shot in Transmissions too.

I promise it will not be the leftover cold sausage we found under the grill when packing up on Monday Afternoon...... I believe Swizz's dog Cassie had the honour of eating that when he got home.....!!!

Will certainly try to make it to Newark - sounds like it's the one to attend!

Seriously, was good to meet members of the new leadership.
very much looking forward to Newark, though health may dictate breaking the journey - any reccomendations for B n B between Wells, somerset and Newark.
Newark was in the past a very social event - any news of activities at club level for this year?
