BNP staff share scheme
Discussion
Things to consider:
How much tax she'll be saving, if 40% then its certainly more attractive.
Also the holding period, is it 5 years, until shares are not longer taxable.
Shares schemes can be good. Are there other perks? IE are there free shares (some companies give 1 share for every 10 bought) and can you reinvest the dividend back into the shares scheme.
My shares scheme:
On my basic salary i'll save 20% tax, although it depends on workload and how much overtime i do in a year
I get 1 in 10 free and have the option to reinvest dividend shares, so there's an element of compound growth. I'm not so sure i'd invest if the later wasn't an option to be honest, as it does reduce that element of risk to a certain extent.

Probably too late as I think the deadline passed last week, but I'm also a BNP (Real Estate) employee. I passed on the shares as there was no discount on the price, you are locked in for 5 years and I felt I could achieve better returns elsewhere.
Also they took the (up to) £1800 directly out of your monthly salary, leaving you potentially light for a month.
