Forester STi...the replacement for my old E36!
Discussion
After owning my E36 328 Sport for over 8 years and putting over 100k miles on her, I've finally bought a replacement.
The main reason for needing a new car was the impending birth of my first child [who is now nearly a month old]. Mrs BUG4LIFE couldn't really argue with my choice, even though she thinks it's ugly as hell, as it's very practical for our little one
Early impressions - it certainly takes commitment to drive, 'relaxing' isn't a word you could possibly use to describe an FSTi [but I guess that's the point]!
Only one pic at the mo [though the previous owner has put a good few on here]...fingers crossed this works!

These go surprisingly well- remember having a play with one in my DC2.
Certainly went well enough in a straight line
Yeah, straight line performance is a huge step up from my old DC2. I haven't had chance to push it in the corners to much at the moment, though the two previous UK owners certainly spent a chunk of cash to help it with in these areas!Certainly went well enough in a straight line

I like that, nice and unusual too. Well done Sir
No disrespect intended with this Q. but are the interiors a bot dodgy on these ??
It is what it is mate - you can't really compare the interior to a new Audi [obviously] or an Audi from the same year as my Foz probably, but I don't spend all day sat in my car touching the plastics so I'm happy with it. My aftermarket steering wheel and gear knob are great to hold so that's good enough for me. Seats are ok but sat in better. No disrespect intended with this Q. but are the interiors a bot dodgy on these ??
The odd thing is, if I hear the odd creak or squeak I kind of accept it more than I would do in a modern car, as it is after all a Subaru from 2004! Though I must say, it hardly ever creaks or squeaks

Noice Foz. I've got one in WR Blue. If not done already by previous owners get the Rear subframe lock out bolts. They're the best mod pound for pound I've had on mine.

Also That Foz looks familiar from the forums or facebook Uk foresters page....
You might tire of the road noise, and squeaks from the interior, but when the time is right on a decent road with bumps and crests it's an absolute weapon. I love mine and occasionally have to take it and drive it on a back road where it comes alive.

Cheers mate. I am on the FB group so I I wouldn't be surprised if you spotted my Foz on there. Plus the previous owner has a thread on here, and there's a length thread on ScoobyNet too!https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KSB750-Whiteline-Subfra...

I've had it for nearly 2 years now. Really enjoyed using it as my daily-drive. I think it's time for something new [to me] now though...I must be getting old as I'm after something less extreme for the replacement [and hopefully with a V8]
