Are run-in services required on ALPINA models like they are on M-cars?

I've 2 Alpinas and the service book doesn't mention the early oil change service as per M cars. It's condition based service. Both my cars are 2010 registered.

No one mentions it here...http://www.thealpinaregister.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=174154&sid=073a631f5b87635fcba22c8a8752d4da

Thing is the "joy" of Alpinas. well one of the joys is only having normal BMW services not M expensive ones.

My b10 v8 had a run in check at 1225miles by halliwell jones in Warrington although strangely the service book says only m3,m5 m roadster and coupe !, I’ve never had a newer alpina so maybe it was model specific

I've just checked with BMW service: the D3 biturbo doesn't need a run in service.

Correct, I asked when I collected mine and was don't it doesn't have one, just take it easy for the first 1000 miles and wait for it to tel you when it needs a service.

Ive done 14k miles in 18 months and its advising that it needs service in 4k miles time, just fyi.
