Visit to AAS. Things to do whilst I wait?

Hi guys. Got my (new to me) Monaro booked in for a full service and check up at AAS in a couple of weeks time - based on the opinions of fellow owners on this forum.
Can anyone that's been there for work done tell me what's close by to keep me entertained for a few hours while I wait?
I'm told there's no waiting facilities.

The best thing to do would be to get Stuart to drop you off at the Metro Centre which is quite a size. You could easy spend all day there, and it's only 10 mins away from AAS.

I ended up in the costa using free wifi for a while then walked across to the cinema and watched some utter tat!

Hop on a bus (or walk along the river) into Newcastle City centre.
