Bmw e92 320d revs struggling to go up until turbo kicks in

Hi just want to know if anyone knows of this problem I’m having when driving my car when accelerating the revs struggle to go up sometimes and when it hits towards 2000 to 2500rpm the turbo kicks in... it’s a bmw e92 320d

anyone experienced this problem before?
